Summary
Providence (at left) seated before an altar, holding a staff surmounted by an "all seeing eye", her foot resting on a sphere and holding an open book at her side; three putti with offerings of grain and fruit at left, the first emptying a cornucopia at the goddess's feet; at right, a lit altar where Piety kneels to pour a libation into the flames as a winged putto overhead lowers a crown of laurels onto her head.
