Pages 1-199 narrative text, with 165 illustrations over text (includes "Augmented Reality" content).
Edition of 20 unique books and 2 artist portfolios, with device included for viewing Augmented Reality Animations.
Library has volume "Morsel" of 20 unique books.
"Each book is a unique publication created through the use of an algorithm. Text and images are run through the algorithm which applies the drawings at random to each volume, masking different text in each. The text and images in these publications were written and drawn by the artist between 2016 and 2021. The text is a litanic diary, a lively character's stream of seemingly linear thought. The original pencil drawings are re-rendered natural and unnatural history images from Albertus Seba's 'Cabinet of Natural Curiosities' digitized for these books."--Colophon.
All twenty books have unique covers. Each has its own laser-cut shape drawn by the artist and embossed under the cover material. The books are bound, five each, in GOLD, GREEN, RED, and BLUE material. All of the shapes are different and determine the name of the book. The books are not numbered, they are named on the Colophon page.
Coded by Grace Poetzinger; lasercut by Free-Fall Laser; AR Augmentation by Jeff Crouse; animation by Joshua Dean Tuthill.
Cover Material: Iris Bookcloth; endpages: Colorplan Vellum, 135 gsm; paper: Cougar Digital, 150 gsm; binding: Handsewn Signature; bookmarks: Ribbon Tassels, Schoen Trimming and Cord Company.
