Summary
Design for the inner lid of a harpsichord, with an oval medallion showing Apollo and the muses, at right, flanked by two monkeys playing musical instruments; at left, a young woman sits playing the dulcimer, as another young woman, sitting to her right, sings; they are accompanied by Mezzetino who stands between them playing a guitar, as Harlequin stands behind the singer and Pierrot sits beside the woman with the dulcimer.
