Forms part of a collection of 586 etchings by and after Claude Gillot, mounted into a bound album by a former owner, with letterpress title page reading "Oeuvres de Gillot." (see PML 198162).

Summary
Illustration shows a man languishing in his bed at left; the curtains to his bed are raised and a servant brings him chicken on a dish; beyond, at right, three other servants prepare dishes in front of a chimney; behind them, on the back wall, shelves bearing plates; in the immediate foreground, at right, dead birds lying on a piece of cloth; at left, by the bed, a basin with pots.
