Lettered "Av. ostade" by the artist at lower left.
Mounted as item 18 into an album of 63 etchings by van Ostade, evidently created by collecter Achille Seilliere (PML 4350).
Library's copy has been closely trimmed and inlaid into a thin border with a false(?) plate mark and with the lower portion of the artist's signature restored at lower left.
