Thirteen lithographs on loosely inserted pages, folded in half, bearing original private watermark in bottom left corner. Each folded page numbered with Roman numerals.
Prints produced from Baskin's original pen and ink drawings, signed and dated. Plate IV has an bright orange washed background and plate VI has a brown wash.
"Twenty-eight hundred portfolios ... were printed for the members of the Editions Medicina Rara, Ltd. at The Curwin Press Ltd. London, England on a specially made paper bearing the private watermark of Medicina Rara and manufactured by E. Towgood & Sons, Sawston, Cambridgeshire, England. The plates for printing were made from thirteen original drawings, commissioned by Medicina Rara expressly for this purpose. Three hundred double suites have been placed in box portfolios covered in one-quarter leather and linen, and have been numbered in roman numerals I-CCC. Twenty-five hundred single suites have been placed in boxed portfolios covered in a Bugra laid paper, and have been numbered in arabic numerals 1-2500. The porfolio boxes were created at the bindery of Richard Mayer, Stuttgart, West Germany"--Verso of half title.
