Facsimile of the original manuscript of the Declaration of trust of a collection of drawings and works of art given to the University by Mr. Ruskin and of a sum of £5000 also given to the University by Mr. Ruskin for the endowment of a Master of Drawing.

Between J.R. and the Chancellor Masters and scholars of the Univ.y; inscription in unknown hand in ink in margin on page [1]: Whereas J.R. about 1850 gave certain Turner drawings an inventory whereof is contained in first schedule And whereas in 1871 the said J.R. gave £5000 for the endowment of a Master of Drawing who should teach (A) in a place assigned to him in the University galleries being approximated (B) by J..R. during his lifetime with the [?] of the Curators of Univ.y Galler.ies (C) and directed by J.R. with same assent[?].
