Notes
The earliest ed. known to Brunet was that of Corrozet, with title: Les antiques erections des Gaules (Paris, 1531; another ed. 1535). Brunet believed that Juste's ed. appeared immediately after Corrozet's of 1535. In this edition, however, there are two references to the year 1539 (leaves 4v and 5r).
"Cy apres sensuit vng petit traicte des fleuues et fontaines admirables desdictes Gaules iadis compose par messire Symphorien Cha[m]pier cheuallier nouuellement traduict en langue Francoise par son filz Claude Champier"--leaf 61r.
Illustrations: numerous small in-text woodcuts in several styles (repeats). The depiction of a city that appears on 8v, 18v, 30v, 41v, 49r, 56r, and 57r incorporates the caption: Civitas Hiervsalem. Ornamental initials.
