Robert Benton Seeley moved his business to 54 Fleet Street in 1840. He entered in partnership with Jackson and Halliday in 1854, and the business moved again in 1884 to Essex Street.
One of many reprints of the 1805 edition (cf. Ray).
"Duttons Inc. New York"--stamped in black on verso of upper fly-leaf.
Comprises engraved t.p. and 34 plates, numbered plate 1-34. Some plates are signed Parker sc., others Neagle sc.
Captions consist of lines from the translation by Alexander Pope, including the numbers of the book and line of the quotation.
