Binding
Contemporary alum tawed pigskin on bevelled wooden boards. Panel stamped and tooled in blind with triple frames, the outer a roll of palmettes, the middle of compartments with religious miscellaneous motifs, surrounding a border of smaller rectangular portraits of Christ, St. Paul, St. John the Baptist, and others. In the center, a narrow rectangular floral panel. Four pairs of metal corner pieces, one pair of center pieces, incorporating bosses, and a pair of clasps, one lacking. The clasps are attached to the lower, and the catches to the upper board. In modern brown cloth slip-case.
