Author's inscription in ink on front flyleaf: To Bob from Bob; former owner's inscription in ink on rear flyleaf: Robert Wolf was an En. major at Harvard, while I was there. A grave, earnest, serious, troubled young man; I used a part of him, and of his first wife Anne Pope, in my novel "Peter Kindred". As I remember (or seem to) Robert and Anne were devices and she went into the business of seling tombstones, Later, Robert was married to Jed Taggard. His younger brother, Bibs[?] Wolf, was married to Nancy Mendelsohn (I also used a little of Nancy in "Peter Kindred".). Robert Nathan, Los Angeles 1973.
