Notes
A sheet of uncut playing cards for a card game inspired by Bernardin de Saint-Pierre's Paul et Virginie, consisting of 25 numbered and hand colored illustrations, each measuring 10.6 x 6.8 cm, relating the story of Saint-Pierre's novel in captions and pictures. Some of the unsigned etchings can be traced back to the first illustrated edition of 1789, containing plates after Moreau le Jeune and Joseph Vernet.

A copy at Yale (BrSides Folio 2014 114) is dated ca. 1815; two copies at the Musée Léon Dierx (1913.03.11 and 1913.03.12) are dated between 1800 and 1825; Morgan Library copy has a watermark of the Dambricourt paper mill suggesting that it was created around 1834.
