Print shows a lean old man in quaint costume (cut-away coat, broad-brimmed, low-crowned hat with the brim cocked at a right angle in back, with a long-stemmed pipe in his pocket), representing the region of Schleswig-Holstein, standing at left and addressing a figure in a pith helmet, representing Prussia, who lolls against a tree atop a heap of small houses, household goods, etc.
