Requesting that an advertisement for his new book, Cornwall's dramatic scenes and poems, be well placed in the Gazette, and asking Jerdan if he knows Blackwood well enough to provide a letter of reference on his behalf since his publisher has proposed they send him a copy (presumably referring to William Blackwood [1776-1834], editor of Blackwood's Edinburgh Review).
