Summary
Granting power of attorney to Conquest Jones. An autograph statement formally acknowledging his change of name from Meggott to Elwes, signed by "John Elwes" and dated July 22, 1752, was added on the second page of the document in order to update the power of attorney following Elwes's legal change of name in 1751.
