Furniss's illustrations for Alice first appeared in issues 28-30 of The Children's encyclopedia (1908-09), edited by Arthur Mee.
"The Cheshire Cat Press sesquicentennial edition of the publication of Alice's adventures in Wonderland was printed by George A. Walker in his Toronto studio. This limited edition of sixty-six copies was printed on Arches Velin Cream French 100% rag paper using a Vandercook Sp15 letterpress. The type used is Janson. The twenty illustrations contained in this folio were printed by hand directly from polymer plates made from high resolution scans; sixteen of these images are from the original drawings from the archives of the Fales Library in New York City. The portfolio case was custom made by Van Huizen Bookbinding."--Colophon.

The penultimate leaf comprises a list of quotations from Carroll's work corresponding to each illustration.
