Summary
Print shows a crowd gathered around a scaffold, where two women have passed out beside the body of a condemned man, who lying on a X-shaped cross; three men rushing to help the women, while at left, the executioner gestures towards the crowd; in the background, at left stands the Porte Saint-Denis in Paris.
