Signed and dated on plate; lettered with title.
Printed in brown ink.
Forms part of a bound album containing 69 collected etchings by Le Prince, evidently restruck from the original plates some time in the 1820's (see PML 141253); this print bound into the volume as plate 16.
Note: The art of the French illustrated book 1700 to 1914 (New York : The Pierpont Morgan Library, 1982) misidentifies this print as one of the 6 plates comprising Le Prince's "Suite de divers habillements des peuples du nord".
A Kalmyk warrior, whole-length, turned to left, armed with lance, bow and quiver; he points to the left; in the background, at right, several warriors conversing.
