The 5 plates by Gavarni are later states of lithographs originally published by Rittner et Goupil and Charles Tilt, having appeared individually in the journal Le Charivari from Dec. 1839 to Feb. 1840.
Comprises plates 13 through 19 of a bound volume of published suites of prints by Gavarni.
