Summary
Giving corrections and editorial comments on vol. IX of Thomas Moore's Works of Lord Byron, for which Wright served as editor; noting that Mr. Cadell the publisher is interested in publishing Sir Walter Scott's Life of Napoleon as part of the Cheap Edition of Scott's collected works now in progress and suggesting that he and Wright might be best qualified for the job of preparing the text; remarking that an article by "Mr. Thornton" would do well for the December number of an unspecified publication (probably the Quarterly review where Lockhart served as editor) and noting that it will need to be revised in light of new evidence; concluding with a passage describing Sir Walter Scott's final days.
