Mariage de Figaro [toy].

Toy theater containing five hand colored engravings displaying a scene from Mozart's opera. Each of the engravings is pasted onto a folding strip along with a letterpress caption, to be viewed in sequence by pulling upward on a tab at the top of the strip. The strip unfolds behind a hand colored cardstock proscenium which frames the individual plates, with the orchestra depicted in front and the audience in boxes on the side. The title and imprint are on a sixth engraving showing the curtain ready to be raised to start the performance.
