Book consists of a half-title page, frontispiece portrait, 6 pages of letterpress verse printed on the recto, 2 blank leaves, and 17 leaves of plates printed on clay-coated paper.
The sixth leaf of letterpress (untitled poem, first line: Jesus, in your Paradise) and conjoined 1st blank are on a smaller-sized sheet (20 cm) loosely laid in; with manuscript correction in ink inserting 'order' for 'do'.
Illustrations: 17 reproductions of line drawings comprised of studies, landscapes, and portraits of fellow soldiers and other men in head scarves; photogravure frontispiece shows a uniformed Siordet holding a monkey, autographed on the plate.
