Title supplied by cataloger.
Mechanical magic lantern slide, hand-painted on glass and enclosed in a mahogany case operated with a crank. It consists of one long slide depicting fairies seated in pumpkin-shaped chariots pulled by swans and horses. A small square window in front of the case allows the viewer to see one image at a time, as the crank moves the slide sidewards.
Produced by William Charles Hughes (label pasted to the end of the slide) who traded in optical equipment and magic lanterns from Hoxton Street. He moved to Brewster House, 82 Mortimer Road in 1883.
Housed with another lantern slide: Gibraltar (PML 152731).
