Philip Larkin's correction in ink on p. 27; Anthony Thwaite's pencil marks denoting some of the poems' associations with WA (Winifred Arnott), MJ (Monica Jones), and Ruth (Bowman) on pp. 11, 21, 24, and 39-40. Larkin's inscription on front free endpaper: "Inscribed for Anthony Thwaite (Frank's, Jermyn St., 1.x.63) in gratitude for his friendship, poetry, & lunch. Philip Larkin".
