Summary
Apologizing for his silence and asking her to relay thanks to her sister for a book of poems by "her Cape friend." Expressing relief to learn of Mrs. Armstrong's well-being and commenting on his Chapel of the Ascension project: "I go nowhere now, declining all invitations - for the Chapel's sake where much yet remains to be accomplished. The thought that I had mis-spent time if I were called from this life before it is done, would be bitter indeed".
