Title in French and English from caption on lid of box.
Six hand-colored lithographed prints, numbered [1]-6, form a peepshow of the London Exhibition of 1851. It comprises four cut-out images, a front-, and backdrop. Each print is mounted on a small wooden strip, for standing up behind each other, in numerical order.
The front gives an external view of the Crystal Palace. Five small peepholes look down the cental isle, the upper, and lower level side galleries, showing visitors examining the exhibitions. The backdrop shows the Crystal Fountain and crowds milling about.
