Telescopic, hand-colored, lithographed peepshow of the Great Exhibition. It comprises four cut-out images, a backdrop, and a print attached to the front of the lid of a cartonnage box. They are connected on the vertical sides by bands of accordion pleated paper.
The titles on the box are printed in red above an external view of the Crystal Palace. A small peephole in the center looks down the central isle of the Palace, with visitors of various nations and judges at work. The backdrop shows exhibitions arranged on long tables and a large tree in the middle.
