Color printed wood engraved design contains an oval center medallion framing the figure of a young woman holding a fan, with eight separate panels radiating from the center, each containing a scene illustrating the daily activities of the story's heroine: gardening, embroidering, archery, painting, reading, riding, piano playing, and reading aloud to two children.
