Full-length portrait of Louis François de Boufflers, standing turned slightly left with his face turned to the right, holding a baton in his right hand and wearing a feather trimmed hat; at right, a line of soldiers on horseback wend their way down a hill towards Namur, and in the distance at left, a landscape with the various sites labeled "Bouge Village", "Porte St. Nicolas", "Vedrin ruisseau", "Basse Meuse Riviere", "Faubourg de Jambe".
