Reverse copy of a wood engraving of a design originally cut by Bewick in 1799 to illustrate a broadside and guidebook advertising Gilbert Pidcock's Royal Menagerie; this print possibly a recutting of the earlier design by apprentice Isaac Nicholson or another imitator, with the elephant facing right and the addition of a background with palm trees.
