Illustrated with frontispiece portrait of the artist and 22 mezzotints engraved by David Lucas after Constable, the plates originally issued in 1833 in Constable's "Various subjects of landscape characteristic of English scenery" (London : Constable, 1833).
"Since he [i.e. Leslie] used the stock that remained at Constable's death, there is little difference in quality between prints in this book and those issued in 1833. Indeed, they may even be in earlier states, since Constable preferred to provide his friends with copies embodying his 'little retouchings here and there."--Cf. Ray.
