Summary
Print shows a view of Whitehall and Westminster, with Holbein's Gate in the distance at far right; the air is filled with swarms of locusts and a thick procession of insects is shown marching toward the gateway, with individual members of the swarm labeled "Ly---s", "Attor---ys", "Priests", "C---o---", "Ex---c---m-n", etc. In the foreground are eight large locusts numbered in accordance with a list printed below, and including references to the Duke of Cumberland, Earl Gower, Duke of Bedford, Duke of Newcastle, Henry Pelham, Countess of Yarmouth, Earl of Sandwich, and an eighth locust, "found in Worcestshire", possibly intended to represent Lord Sandys.
