Summary
Engraving after Hieronymus Bosch of a triptych depicting the Last Judgment, with central panel showing angels battling demons for the naked souls of the dead, with the redeemed ascending a steep and rocky path to Heaven at left as the damned are tormented by demons and dragged away to Hell at right. The left hand panel contains a view of Heaven itself, with fountain, boat, tent, and souls cavorting with angels in the foreground beneath a celestial cathedral where God sits enthroned. Panel at right shows a view of Hell, where the souls of the damned are tortured by demons.
