Notes
Reported in the publisher's Stationery Trade catalogue for 1956 in the company archives held by the National Library of Scotland.
The wrapper illustrations are different. One has a cross stitch design of a woman reading in a park setting; the other shows a librarian reading at the top of a ladder, a feather dusted tucked under his arm.
Each volume has 30 ruled, perforated leaves for noting author, title, and notes. A carbon paper sheet, stored in the back, is used for copying each ruled leaf with information onto blank leaves for maintaining a permanent record.
