A momento mori in the form of a folding metamorphic print, the lower third of the print folding up to conceal/reveal the skeletal legs of the subjects.
Eight lines of engraved verse in two columns above image: The World calls Evil Good: See how she goes ... The Emblem underneath is for them fit.; six additional lines of verse within the lower half of image: Behold thy Picture in this looking Glass ... Then trust in him that raiseth up ye Dead.
Mounted as item 125 into an album of collected prints, broadsides, drawings, and miscellaneous single sheet items, assembled by former owner Joseph Ames and entitled "Emblematical and satirical prints on persons and professions" (PML 145850).

Summary
Upper portion of print shows a man and woman walking arm in arm, both figures richly dressed and coiffed from the waist up and skeletal in form from the waist down; the woman carries a shovel, while the man carries a scythe, and they are surrounded by symbols of mortality on the ground at their feet, including a smoking candle, grave, and skull and hourglass; below, a rotting corpse is shown stretched out on the ground, surrounded by snakes and toads.
