Engraving is a plate evidently removed from a copy of Samuel Sheppard's The times displayed in six sestyads (London : Printed and are to be sold by J.P. [i.e. Joseph Potts], 1646).
Mounted as item 82 in an album of collected prints, broadsides, drawings, and miscellaneous single sheet items, assembled by former owner Joseph Ames and entitled "Emblematical and satirical prints on persons and professions" (PML 145850).

Summary
Print shows three compartments, each containing a half length figure with verses below: (1) "Profane Liberty," a man breaking the Tables of the Law with a hammer; (2) "Envious Hypocresie," a cloaked man, holding three masks in his left hand, and a serpent in his right hand, and having serpents, instead of hair, writhing beneath his hat; (3) "Iesuitecall Pollicie." a man in a Jesuit's cap, his left hand raised.
