Summary
Print depicts the Last Judgment, with a central design showing naked figures climbing a ladder at right and entering a rent sphere from which they tumble into an enormous bolter or sifter shaken by the winged figure of Death, who stands at left. Below, Father Time sits with an hourglass and compass, as demons pounce upon the damned as they fall from the bolter and drag them into the pit of Hell, while redeemed souls scale a rocky mountain to Heaven at far left, assisted by an angel. At lower left stand three female figures representing the Virtues, mirrored by three figures at lower right representing the Deadly Sins. At upper right stands the naked female figure of Nature beneath a tree, with milk streaming from her breasts.
