Engraved block by the Dalziel Brothers after G.J. Pinwell, with a design created for an 1868 edition of 'The uncommercial traveller' published by Chapman & Hall.
Issued as part of a 23-volume set of the Nonesuch Dickens (London, 1937-8), designed by Francis Meynell. The edition was limited to 877 sets. Each set was accompanied by one of the plates or wood blocks originally used by Chapman and Hall, chiefly from 'The Charles Dickens edition' (1868-70), as well as one matted print from the accompanying plate or block.
