Plates printed on china paper and mounted onto larger leaves, which have their numbering blind-embossed at foot; each plate preceded by letterpress guard sheet printed in red.
Although 250 sets of Haden's Études à l'eau-forte were announced for publication, only 180 sets were ultimately completed owing to the excessive wear exhibited by some of the more delicate plates.
