Inscriptions/Markings
The marked set has been hand-numbered in red or blue crayon in a way that corresponds to the order of plates in Cinquante Dessins, and has stray marks and thumbprints; some marked plates are stamped in red ink: H. Geny-Gros, imprimeur, 34, B. de la Montagne Ste-Geneviève. All marked plates are signed bon à tirer; a few plates have additional brief comments by the artist. Pl. I has the word 'specimen' in purple crayon at top, with price annotations on verso; pl. XV has been marked in pencil at top: "en frontispice."
