Christmas card featuring text by Ray and a reproduction of a drawing by William M. Thackeray, with the caption "Arrival of Doctor Doddridge 'Show me to my bed-room my good woman'"; originally sent by Thackeray to Dr. William Hepworth Thompson in 1851, and showing the divine and hymn writer Dr. Philip Doddridge in heaven, addressing himself to the Virgin, who carries a candle and warming pan.
