Facsimile reprint of original manuscript created by Thackeray in 1832, with t.p. and facetious hand drawn imprint reading: Choisy le Roi. Printed for Edward Torre. 1832; a reproduction of the manuscript was first published in the Picture magazine, July, 1894.

Princeton University copy accompanied by an invoice from Bernard Quaritch, London, dated 1898 and stating that the book was published in an edition of 250 copies. Cf. Catalog of the Morris L. Parrish Collection of Victorian Novelists, p. 736; entry in the catalog of the library of Jerome Kern states that Bernard Quaritch produced a privately printed edition of 25 copies of facsimile reproductions of this manuscript when it was in his possession during the late 19th century.
