With extensive manuscript corrections, annotations, and marginal commentary by the author in preparation for the 3rd ed. of the work, which was published by George Allen in 1880.
Accompanying manuscript, "A history of the reissue of 'The seven lamps of architecture' in 1880", by George Allen; typed letter signed by B.F. Stevens & Brown to William K. Bixby, dated London, Oct. 16, 1901; and typed letter signed by William K. Bixby to Mr. H.I. Miller, dated Dec. 16, 1902, removed to LHMS and cataloged separately.
Acquired with autograph signed manuscript by publisher George Allen entitled "A history of the reissue of 'The seven lamps of architecture' in 1880", dated Oct. 16, 1901; typed letter signed by B.F. Stevens & Brown to William K. Bixby, dated London, Oct. 16, 1901, informing Bixby that they have received George Allen's "A history of the reissue of 'The seven lamps of architecture' in 1880" to accompany his recently purchased annotated copy of Ruskin's work and conveying to him Allen's stipulation that the manuscript not be published; typed letter signed by William K. Bixby to Mr. H.I. Miller, dated Dec. 16, 1902, sending Miller his annotated copy of Ruskins "Seven Lamps of architecture" and the accompanying manuscript by publisher George Allen; all transferred to LHMS.
