Summary
Collection of 365 engraved plates and clipped illustrations from various works illustrated by Thomas Stothard, including various smaller engravings and vignettes, mounted into a large morocco album, with pencil annotations accompanying 4 of the engravings identifying William Blake as the engraver. Also included is an original unsigned portrait of Stothard as an elderly man, executed in pencil, mounted on the second leaf of the album, and an original pencil drawing by John Flaxman for a design for Dante's Purgatorio, canto II, with caption: Casella's song ... Of heavenly love he sang.
