This copy comprises 8 facsimile plates, printed in the late 19th century, and 2 duplicate plates (PML 63940.1-.2) that are in fact authentic impressions of relief-etched plates printed by Blake ca. 1794.
According to Viscomi, the eight facsimile plates were likely part of an aborted facsimile project modeled after Blake’s Copy C and possibly produced by kerography around 1870 (see Viscomi, Blake and the Idea of the Book, pp. 198-216).
