Sold by H.A. Mair at Puttick & Simpson's, 19 Nov. 1900, lot 338 (with 3 watercolor drawings) to Quaritch, who sold the composite volume to M. J. Perry; acquired by W.A. White in 1908; given to his daughter, Frances White Emerson in July 1917; sold posthumously at Sotheby's 1958, lot 4, to John F. Fleming; thence to Mrs. Landon K. Thorne.
