Michel Dauplet was a printer in the 17th century, appearing to be active from 1643-1673 in Paris. His name appears in this item as "Daupler", possibly from broken text during the imprint. Multiple imprints from other items, in addition to an entry for his possible widow and his son-in-law, lead to the conclusion of his last name as "Dauplet" rather than "Daupler". Gilles, Pierre and Claude Gourault were his son-in-laws and also printers. His name appears with theirs in two entries from two different catalogues with imprints from 1647 and 1648. Dauplet also printed items with Gilles Gourault's widow, Louise Dauplet, his daughter. Dauplet's widow, Élisabeth Harvard[?] appears to have continued printing under his name between 1674-1676, as "V.ve. M. Dauplet", "veuve M. Dauplet", and "Ve Dauplet", and also worked with Gilles Gourault's widow/her daughter, Louise Dauplet (active from 1668-1692) as "Veuve G. Gourault", "V.Ve Gourault", and "Veuve Gourault".
