Vol. 1 is a full-color chromolithographic facsimile of the Grandes heures d'Anne de Bretagne, illuminated ca. 1503-1508 by Jean Bourdichon, formerly attributed to Jean Poyet; the chromolithographs executed by Franz Kellerhoven and printed by Lemercier & Cie.
Vol. 1 has only spine title.
Originally appeared in 50 numbers between 1859 and 1861.
List of the book's 850 subscribers included at the end of v. 2.
The "procès-verbal" (v. 2, p. [13]) is dated 1861.
