Two albums containing a collection of wood engraved caricatures and vignettes after Daumier published between 1834 and 1878, with v. 1 containing wood engravings clipped from various periodicals of the day and mounted, and v. 2 made up of clipped wood engravings, whole leaves, and entire issues of Le Charivari, highlighting Daumier's contributions to that periodical. In addition to examples of wood engravings after Daumier, v. 2 also contain a notable early example of a pre-photographic line block of Daumier's drawing illustrating Gavarni's "Le carnaval", published in the Feb. 28, 1843 issue of Le Charivari.
