19th-century half brown morocco, with vellum central panel including gilt-tooled inscription: Quod ipse non feci, quia barbarum ("Which I did not do myself because it was barbaric") and gilt-tooled unidentified armorial (3 fleurs de lis, fess dancette) with motto: duc in altum ("put out into the deep:); unidentified gilt crowned monogram on spine.
